Zombie Roo

This is my interpretation of the Theriantrhopes found in Arnhem Land rock art. Theriantrhopes are mysterious creatures depicted in the earlies phases of rock art (Yam phase I think, not that that'll mean anything to most people) whoses meaning is not longer remebered by the indiginous peoples. Basically they're kangaroos with human legs. They can hold weapons and are seen either watching humans or killing them. They're also depicted with dots coming from them or forming a circle infront of their mouths. These dots are commonly interpreted as being some sort of spirit force thus setting them well and truely apart from humans. But no one's 100% certain what they are.

I'll point out that the above concept was thought out during my Australian Archaeology lectures where I also found out about the Theriantrhopes. Well during the more boring parts of the lectures (Bondi pints vs core-scrapers just makes me zone out) I got to thinking about what else the dots could represent. Flies are a logical choice in Australia. The zombie part just kinda followed.

He's wound up a cheesey horror creature but that's pretty much what I intended. I'm pleased with the fur, considering I started the picture with no idea how I was going to do it. I found an easy and effective way, not a quick way. Basic pose is me acting like a prat infront of the mirror. Obviously quite a few changes had to be made to make it male. And yes my thumb does bend weirdly. Yup he is quite well muscled and the picture does cut off just before his tackle. I rather think it adds to the cheesyness but in a good way.

One last note; please do not call this an anthro.
