Ozmone wildlife sketch

The Ozmone Plains are an expansive region of volcanic plateau. Once great airships plied the skies above. Now only the ruins of these ships can be found, the casualties a war long forgot. Nor will any airship travel these skies, the land now lies Jagd. The high plains are home to the Garif, fierce tribal hunters who have tamed the local chocobos as steeds.

Several varieties of chocobo thrive on these high plains but the most common are the Black chocobos. For safety the birds keep in small flocks. They are a match for all save the most vicious beasts of the Plains. A Hybrid Gator has strayed into the territory of a flock of Black chocobos and is a bout to get more than it bargained for.

Whoever thought Chocobos were cute and fluffy doesn't know the birds of Final Fantasy XII. There are a couple of chocobos in the game that can anahilate the unwary player. Also, according to the game's bestiary information, chocobos are meant to reek.
