Artist's Comments

The sun shone brightly in the clear sky. A gentle breeze swept through the leafy trees. A perfect day for a picnic by anyone’s standards.

It was thus decreed, by the Deamon Lord Himself, that an all Underworld outing in order. So the Deamon Lord, His fallen angels, winged harpies, imps, devils, beholders, lawyers and other assorted creatures set out for the picnic grounds.

The day went well by all accounts. There was much feasting and merriment. A variety of games were played, including a rather boisterous round of rounders wherein the winning team was allowed to submerge the losers in chocolate; a punishment quite heinous to Deamon kind. Even the choughs had a merry time, constantly bickering over the abundance of scraps and titbits to be had.

And you can't even see the nice lawns and plants in the picture. It really was a lovely day when I took the photo.

Did you make that bird's eye red or was it already like that? What were they eating? That's a very elaborate story there =P

No they eye's naturally red. You're not the first person to think it's photomanip. They're eating, I think, pie crusts that were left on the table next to ours at the Botanic Garden's cafe. The little kids were having great fun chasing the choughs.
